What is this lesson?

The sentences in this lesson rhyme! What's more, they are set to music to make them easier to remember. A medley of 3D objects are featured in this lesson. Get practice with the sentences patterns "Do you want...?" "Do you like...?" "Do you have...?" and "Do you see...?"

The sentences in this lesson are all questions. Why? By learning questions, you get twice as much as if you just learned statements. By learning the sentence "Do you want a box?", you can use the sentence, and get an answer too! You can even get multiple answers: "Yes," "no," or "I want a box!"

How do I teach this lesson?

This lesson really hits home three basic sentences that you have studied before: "Do you want?" "Do you like?" and "Do you have?" (The sentence "Do you see?" is also introduced, but it isn't as important).

This lesson works best to be taught from flashcards. The DVD lesson is set to music, but the music is not necessary for teaching the lesson. Through this lesson, students should become comfortable with the sentences "Do you want?" "Do you like?" and "Do you have?". Students should be able to know what these sentences mean and the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM.

Practice with these sentences can come through the flashcards, by using a set of objects such as fruit and vegetable toys, or by doing the same thing with any assorted toys that you have on hand. What Do You Want? Game and What Do You Have? Game both can be used to teach in this way. You can modify the What Do You Want? Game as well to teach the sentence "What do you like?"
